Acclaimed children's author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, the company has said. A representative for the publisher stated: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams." It has been reported that the move was taken subsequent to an review of reports of conduct deemed unsuitable involving women. The firm has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, adding: "We do not comment on private personnel issues." A Prolific Publishing History Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages. His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008. A number of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films. His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works in total, encompassing a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October. A Dual Career His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*. He received an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors. This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
