Jurgen Klopp admits coming back to coach Liverpool is theoretically possible.

Jurgen Klopp, who left Liverpool in 2024, has suggested that rejoining the club is an option. The 58-year-old, after a transformative near-decade reign that included Champions League success and the Premier League crown for three decades, currently occupies positions overseeing worldwide football with the Red Bull group and as an advisor to Germany's league body.

Fan Sentiment and His Frank Comments

Liverpool won England's top flight in the previous campaign, though countless followers who revere Klopp would embrace the notion of his potential comeback. In a wide-ranging interview, he told the podcast host: “I stated I won't manage a different club on English soil. Which implies should it be the Reds...yes. It's plausible.”

“Being 58, which suggests I might decide in a few years, I don’t know. Is a decision required immediately? If so, I wouldn't return. Luckily, it's not necessary. I'll wait and observe what lies ahead.”

What Would Lure Him Back?

Pressed on which situations would need to occur to draw him back to the touchline, Klopp admitted he isn't eager toward coming back. “It's unclear to me, I love what I do right now,” he commented. “I don’t miss coaching; I don’t miss standing in the rain for two-and-a-half or three hours; I'm glad to skip interviews four times, three times a week or doing numerous chats each week.

“No nostalgia for the changing area in that context, however, dining out alongside the squad talking freely, is pleasant. We won a lot of games meaning regularly great spirits around the place. I can still hear the captain's chuckle ringing in my ears as an instance.”

Commending Arne Slot

He spoke highly for his successor, praising him for the adjustments which secured the championship last term. They've been defeated a string of losses in all competitions following significant transfers, yet he dismissed the idea it could be a slump.

“[Liverpool have] an incredible striker such as Wirtz, critics will regret with negative comments. A remarkable prospect. [Hugo] Ekitike, excellent performer. They have a strong well-judged squad. No need for concern regarding the Reds, they will be fine.”

Heartfelt Words for Diogo Jota

Klopp also spoke emotionally about the death of Jota, whom he brought in while in charge, and the effect at the club. The forward was killed in a car crash alongside his brother this past summer.

“Who can fill the void of such an individual? It’s not about the player himself, his personality mattered. I struggle to conceive the squad without him in it. I still cannot speak properly about it. It was an incredible shock for all the boys too. No one within the club will ever use it to justify results but it is the situation. Entering the changing area where his spirit remains. Coping with it individually is challenging. Overwhelming.”
