Spurs Manager Frank Calls Goalkeeper Booers 'Not True Genuine Supporters'

Fulham Begin Powerfully to Defeat Tottenham and Increase Tension on Frank

Tottenham Hotspur supporters who booed keeper Vicario were informed afterwards "those individuals can't be true Tottenham supporters" by manager Frank.

Tottenham conceded two scores in the opening initial moments to fall 2-1 to Fulham, registering their tenth Premier League home defeat of 2025.

However the primary topic of discussion was Fulham's next goal when the keeper lost possession well outside his area.

The goalkeeper ventured out to deal with a high pass and took the ball towards the sideline.

But, instead of booting it into touch, the Italian spun and attempted to clear, but lost his footing as the ball glanced off Wilson and was controlled by King.

King laid the ball off to Wales midfielder Harry Wilson, who curled a strike into the net from the touchline recorded at thirty-six point six metres.

Moments later when the ball went to the keeper once more, some Tottenham supporters jeered him.

The team were booed off at the interval, with the side 2-0 down, and once more at full-time.

A particular of those jeering sessions truly angered Frank.

"It came to my attention some of our supporters apparently jeered the situation and booed after, which, in my view is completely unacceptable," the Dane commented regarding the supporters' reaction to his shot-stopper.

"[They] cannot be real Tottenham supporters that act that way. Fair enough jeering following the game, no problem, but when we are playing, we are backing each other, we are with one another going forward."

Kenny Tete had handed Fulham a fourth-minute advantage prior to Harry Wilson's strike – with Kudus netting for Tottenham in an improved second-half performance.

Ex- Premier League goalkeeper Hart stated that the second score was "totally preventable".

"I do appreciate the supporters' frustration," the ex-keeper continued. "I know the part the keeper is performing. He is a excellent team player, he's a true figure in the locker room but ultimately you are going to be assessed by your actions.

"The keeper was heavily involved in what turned out to be the winning goal."

'It's Part of Football, I Can Handle It'

Frank Stood Up For His Goalkeeper Vicario After the Match

Italian international the keeper is in his third campaign with Tottenham.

He said after the match that he had to accept the criticism.

"That score was a mistake of mine, I accept accountability for it," he commented.

"The intent was to clear the ball long and I just hit the ball in a poor way. It was an more difficult challenge to overcome."

He stated receiving jeers "comes with football".

"I'm a big man, what can I say?" he added. "The team can't be affected by the circumstances in the stands. Supporters have the entitlement to do as they see fit.

"It is on the team to stay more calm, to focus on our own performance. We are missing in calmness and calmness to reverse results. Today is a bad defeat and it is tough to take."

'It Shocked Me No One Returned to the Goal Line'

Despite the keeper's mistake, it was not an easy goal for Harry Wilson to convert.

In fact it was the second most distant top division goal of the season – following Tyler Adams' forty-three point three metre strike for Bournemouth against Sunderland, which incidentally also came on Saturday.

The goalscorer stated he was "a little bit surprised" that he still had an empty net to aim for.

10 seconds passed between the keeper exiting of his area and Wilson shooting – which was five moments after the clearance.

"I felt like the goalkeeper was away from the area for ages," Wilson said.

"It amazed me not one of the back four went back to the goal line. When not one of them defended the net, my interest lit up somewhat.

"Udogie fell too, which allowed me a little additional time. Then it was solely about attempting to make the correct contact and get it towards goal. I had a positive feeling, as soon as it left my foot, that it was on the right line."

'When You're in a Bad Spell, All Seems to Go Against You'

Jeering While We Are Still Playing Is Totally Unjustifiable - Frank

While Vicario's error led headlines, this was an overall bad performance for Tottenham to continue their home woes.

This was their tenth home defeat of the year in the league, a joint club statistic along with nineteen ninety-four and two thousand and three.

The side still have home fixtures against the manager's old side the Bees and title holders the Reds to play before the close of the year.

Only one of those victories have occurred since the manager took over from his predecessor in the summer.

"When you're behind 2-0 after six minutes, there is a mountain to overcome," stated Frank.

"During in a bad spell, all aspects seems to go against you too – the first was a deflected shot, the next is a mistake from the keeper.

"The outcome puts us in a place where we have suffered another match. Each fixture has a unique narrative, today we lost in the first six minutes.

"We simply need to keep working. The second half was significantly improved and hopefully an aspect we can use to develop."

Tottenham have lost four straight at home London derbies for the first time in the Premier League.

Furthermore they are recording 9.5 attempts and 3.2 efforts on goal per match in the division – their lowest averages on record in a one campaign (dating back to the 2003-04 season).

Former Fulham midfielder Murphy stated that the manager has to ride the storm.

"He must accept the criticism," the pundit remarked. "He's taken a prestigious job at a major team with enormous expectation. There is pressure and duty that accompanies that.

"Their showings at home have been disappointing and they have to get better {quickly|
