The loved ones of teens lost after a devastating blaze at a establishment in a Swiss alpine town are facing an excruciating period of uncertainty for official news and pleading for any details about their family members via social media.

The blaze ripped through the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the Alps of the Valais region, in the early hours of New Year's Day. Circulated footage reveal the roof structure igniting as beverages with fireworks are held aloft.

Authorities have stated that it could take considerable time to formally name the victims of the fire, which killed 40 people and injured another over a hundred. Authorities said on the latest update that 113 of the injured have been accounted for, with efforts ongoing to name the remaining few.

In the meantime, relatives have been using social media to plead for clues about their missing relatives who were present at the venue that evening.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Unaccounted For

The fate of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are still unconfirmed, according to an heartfelt request from his parent.

The resident of a town near the city, told a publication that she had gone back to the city to check whether he was in the hospital, while his father did the equivalent search in Bern, but did not locate him.

"I'm living a nightmare, a horror. Either I find my son in the morgue, or I find him in intensive care. It's horrific," she told the paper.

She explained that some of his companions had been discovered with burns covering nearly half their bodies. "There are no words; they went through an absolute nightmare."

The Italy's government has confirmed that a number of of its citizens have not been located.

One of those is Emanuele Galeppini, a 16-year-old sportsman, originally from Genoa but now residing in the UAE.

The Italian Golf Federation has released a tribute that he is deceased, without directly referencing the tragedy, paying tribute to a "talented young man who carried with him passion and authentic values."
